Just got a grinder for the first time here and I love it. I got a small hot capicola and it was more than twice of what you would get at a place like subway. If you go, make sure you have cash on hand. I will definitely be back.

Love the way the system Is here, a Superette but also with a Deli option. Though It's cash-only, It's MUCH better than Subway.

The best grinders in the area. Fresh bread, high quality deli meats, and plenty of options to choose from. Cash only, so bring plenty as they have so many other Italian specialties to purchase. Parking is tricky and downright dangerous depending on the spot you choose and the time of day. I recommend parking in the parking lot across the street and walking over if you concerned.

We stopped in today to buy homemade meatballs and sauce. Added deli meat and cheese as well as bread! Prices extremely reasonable and staff very nice. Face masks a must and patrons careful about respectable distancing.. only caution...CASH ONLY accepted.. Enjoy this community market...it's one of the best.

Huge classic subs, a large could probably feed a family of four. If we are in the area for a hike or such, my husband and I will each order a small, eat half and save half for later in the day. I usually buy a jar of pepperoncini so I can add them to my sandwich as they only offer tomato and lettuce. Cash only.

Best place to buy your cold cuts

I would give negative stars if I could! We drove over half an hour because I heard their grinders are huge. That's the only positive I can give. I ordered on the way because it's 90° out wanted to get back home fast. We get there and they didn't even make the grinder yet I ordered Italian grinder NO mayo with oil and vinegar with lettuce and tomatoes. $12 later long drive home and we open it and it's covered in Mayo! hardly any oil and vinegar! The first half only had 2 see through tomatoes slices. Hardly any lettuce. The cheese is so thin couldn't even taste it. Mayo tasted spoiled because of the oil and vinegar. My bf can't eat Mayo so he doesn't even get to eat anything. If you're going to make huge grinders then put some lettuce and tomatoes on it and LISTEN to what the Customer wants!!!

Since childhood this is the place to get the best grinder, hands down. Amazing deli meats, great Italian market, good service, an all around great place to go. This is what shopping used to be like, this is a gem of this community and a must visit of you are looking for amazing eats.

I worked in downtown Springfield for a couple years and would scoot over to Pajer's for a grinder every now and then. Heard about it from the MassLive segment on best grinders in Western Mass. They weren't kidding... I grew up in the Hartford area with Franklin Grinders as a baseline. Pajer's is probably the best cold grinder I've ever had. Doesn't matter if it's Hot Capicolla, Combo, Turkey, etc. Never disappointed by Fred and company.

If you are a fan of great Italian food, this should be your first stop. Great prices on deli meats and grinders that I dare you to finish in one sitting! Also a great selection of other staples for Italian cooking. I gave it 5 stars but only because Google wouldn't allow me to put 7!!!!

Went In once, never went again, rude staff, no place to stand to see the menu because the owner keeps telling you that you are taking up space, not the best place to get food either, the grinders suck, bread Is cheap.

Good grinders, but they only serve them Wed-Sat. Don't bother going on Sundays, even though they're open.

Delicious grinders @ Pajers live in Ludlow & if in area will make a trip even with all the construction & traffic detours to get to Pajers. Staff friendly & very helpful

Absolutely love the place! I always order subs and mostly a snack or drink too, and they NEVER disappoint! Cash only but since It’s healthier and cheaper than subway, It’s only better for the consumer!!

Their prices amazing! So friendly, their homemade soups pastas and sauces are so delicious! Grinders to die for! They get very busy around noon, but expected when things are so yummy! I could go on for ever on how scrumptious all their things are!!! I just Love this place and the people that work there!

Best meat filled grinders around. You can't get any better that includes jars of different things. Beaughtiful dried smoked sausage like charizo. Have been going there since I was a kid on a bycicle. Money well spent. You will Not be let down. 💯

Bought a grinder here once a week for twenty years. Talked a friend into splitting one today, we called and ordered a cold large Italian grinder with provolone lettuce tomato olive oil and vinegar. We get there and they haven't even made it. They forgot. Okay, hey, things happen. Oops. I wait, they make it, I pay and leave.At home, we go to eat it and its swimming in warm mayonnaise. Anybody like warm mayonnaise? I call and ask why they put mayonnaise on my grinder and the kid says, that's how it was ordered. I said I was in the vehicle when the order was made and we definitely did NOT ask for mayonnaise."Mike" comes on and says a whole bunch of stuff, said the order slip was faded or whatever, but he'll make me another grinder for free next time.If this is your idea of lettuce and tomato on a grinder that you made...keep your free grinder.
